St. John’s University of Tanzania (SJUT), located in Dodoma, Tanzania’s legislative capital, is a private institution of higher learning, owned and operated as a mission by the Anglican Church of Tanzania (ACT). SJUT has been established and incorporated under the Tanzanian Universities Act of 2005. The Tanzania Commission for Universities has granted it Certificate of Full Registration No. 0022, on 15 October 2009. SJUT opened in September 2007 with a first intake of just over 800 students, graduated the first class of 700 students in November 2010, and has a current enrollment of over 5,000 students at four locations. www.sjut.ac.tz
